Since I left Arch, I have had this semi-constant pull between Gentoo and NixOS. I ended up settling on NixOS because it seemed to be the sane option given the issues I had with Arch, that being I wanted an easy way to rebuild my system with minimal effort when it inevitably bonked itself. However, as I learn more and more about Gentoo (and get more and more frustrated with the NixOS community), the more I want to distro hop again. I know the long-term plan is to make NixOS my OS of choice for my VMs, and this remains the same... but...
